How It Works
To become a PortaQuarters licensee is to start on the road to real profitability.
Our Licensees enjoy the full support of our designers, engineers and experts. We provide you with all of the help you need to set up your manufacturing facility. You'll need space to build at least 3 units at a time. The frame is steel for strength ,so you'll need equipment to weld the frame and a range of skills. The units are plumbed ,ready for connection to supply and waste, so you'll need the skill in house or on hand to ensure this part is compliant. It's the same with electrics, they are all wired for the local voltage and a qualified electrician will need to carry out the installation.
The body, floor and roof are all state of the art materials which need to be ordered in time to be fitted. Basic engineering or construction skills will suffice, and we'll be at the end of the phone when you need help.
The windows, doors and other fittings are not complex and if you have the skills for the rest, this should be simple.
We expect the highest quality from our partners. Quality is why we are the preferred brand where comfort and convenience is uppermost. You'll get full training and support, so don't worry, we're there to help you succeed.
We have inquiries every day for units to buy or lease. Once you are the licensee for a territory, those enquiries and contacts will be passed to you. So you need to be able to deal with customers, help them identify the correct product and lead them through the purchase or lease process.
So what happens when I get an order? Well, you take a deposit to cover the costs of materials and construction. You order all materials, check the plans to ensure it matches the order and build the frame, structure and interior. It gets delivered to your customer by road usually and the final payment is collected by you.
You pay PortaQuarters a royalty fee for each completed unit. This is usually 5% of the retail price or a set fee, whichever is higher. This is in case you decide to offer discounts. You don't need to, the demand far exceeds the supply. We'll have agreements to share all data relating to sales and manufacturing and we'll help you here as well.
Depending upon your agreed territory, you'll probably want to allow for expansion as the demand is very high. You'll need to arrange shipping by road and we can point you in the right direction if needed. Lifting gear to load is required. A fork lift of sufficient power would work. Secure storage and access to power and utilities.
It sounds simple, because it is. These units are of fantastic quality but it's more assembly than manufacturing. We'll help you get it right and you'll soon be producing units and profits.
